Mrs. Marzena from Sopot has always felt an incredible connection with water. She likes to think that in her previous incarnation she was a mermaid and, as she says, she cannot imagine living in a place without access to the sea. Some time ago, we presented her jewelry work, as she has been successfully running the Sopot Seaglass brand for two years. This time she decided to tell us a little more about the unusual disguise in which she appeared at sunrise with the Sea of Angels last Tuesday, August 1. Where did the idea of appearing on the beach at sunrise disguised as a mermaid come from? I create jewelry from sea glass, which is often also called mermaid tails tears. mermaid tears. Legend has it that sea glass is actually tears shed by a mermaid who was banished by Neptune for loving the ship's captain. Thrown into the depths of the sea by him, she cries and her tears turn into colored glasses. My mermaid costume is actually an element used to present the latest collection of products that will soon be available on my Instagram page. I have been getting up to watch the sunrise almost every day for over two years. We meet every day at sunrise at the entrance to beach no. 28 to welcome the day with the Sea of Angels group by entering the water.
I have also been interested in free diving for many years. My work was greatly influenced by the book entitled "Deepness" by James Nestor, which was the inspiration for some of the product names from my previous collections. It was there that I learned about AMA, i.e. Japanese pearl divers who dive without any equipment at very great depths. The mermaid's tail ends in a monofin, which is often used by freedivers. The final decision to purchase was influenced by the film entitled "The Deepest Breath", which tells the story of the fearless freediving champion - Alessia Zecchini. The tail was purchased on the popular website Allegro, and its price was not high. It costs about as much as a sports swimsuit.
